The Stono River is named for the Stono Rebellion which started on September 9, 1739. The Stono River is a tidal river that offers a nice paddling experience. Smooth Cordgrass dominates the landscape, along with other flora. Some of the wildlife featured on this paddling include a variety of waterfowl.
